Many thanks for your comment Mike.

Berrys' Own 1970 Vintage Port was supplied by Warre's. In most declared vintages BBR has had an 'own label', in recent years most frequently from the Symington group. This has tended to be a lesser wine than the main brand (though in some years it is hard to tell them apart) and as a result our own label wines tend to be more approachable and drink sooner. In a year as good as 1970, I would have said the wine you tasted would have been at its peak and I hope you enjoyed it.

Cheers

A good friend of mine & my son, Harry Procope, has this evening opened a case of Vintage 1970 port, one of what I believe to be a number of cases, given to Harry by his late father for his christening. The bottles are both labelled & corked with your company name as reference, bottled in 1972.
Would you have any other details of the actual vineyard your port might have come from, or is it one of your own?
Regards
