The closest link between the people that make wine and the people that drink it
The Grand Burgundy Offer opened this morning at 9.00a.m. amid much trepidation on our part. There are some really attractive wines, but would the general economic gloom torpedo the offer?
So far (12 noon) the position is looking relatively healthy, with consumers’ affection for Burgundy showing in some good orders. The phones have been ringing, the emails humming and a dozen wines have already sold out. The message seems to be that quality will find a home even in difficult times.
More wines have been released on to the web over and above the 200 or so in the printed brochure. Browse and enjoy!
