By he way we drank your ‘Crianza’ about eight years ago when we lived in Cheshire and couldn’t get enough of it. It was recommended to us by the Guardian Wine Expert who wrote that in his opinion was on a par with a very good Burgundy. This turned out to be true sadly your stocks ran out. Have you any recollection of this?

It’s hard to say, as it’s obviously a matter of personal taste. However, a quick poll in Berrys’ office has revealed that a popular choice for the crunchy, minerally Pouilly-Fumé is something like Nina Simone, with her gravelly voice, or Dusty Springfield’s Spooky. As for the Pouilly-Fuissé, it was suggested that Brit Awards winner Florence and The Machine’s ‘The Gift’ would be an uplifting, rich choice.

Whatever you chose, I hope you enjoy the combination!
