The 2006s more in line with the 2004s (that you so enjoy): fleshy, full...a vintage year! Personally I have a sweet spot for so-called 'lesser' vintages ('he would say that!') where minds have had to focus, exam-like, select more, & produce less: the 1998's in Piedmont, or Toscana, a prim example, many showing very well vs. the much touted, warmer, generous 1997s.
