Win tickets to Wine School

To celebrate the launch of our Autumn/Winter season of tastings, dinners and events, we are offering you the chance to win a pair of tickets to a rather unusual Wine School event.

For those who really love their wine – and it seems safe to assume that, as you’re reading this, you do – there is little better than indulging your interest at an event held in our historic cellars. Knowing that wine has been stored, poured and enjoyed at No. 3 St James’s for more than 300 years, certainly adds a frisson of excitement to a tasting.

Of course, while the classic regions and wines feature in our programme of events, it’s not all Bordeaux and Burgundy. To mark the release of our calendar for Autumn/Winter 2014, we are giving away a pair of tickets to one of our new Lunch & Learn sessions: China, Bulgaria, Croatia, Lebanon and Moldova. Hosted by the fantastically knowledgeable Martin Hudson MW, this session will give a remarkable insight into wine regions which are both prolific in terms of production and extremely rich in wine history. (With a number of wines to sample alongside a meal prepared by our in-house chef, it certainly beats a Pret sandwich at your desk.)

The event takes place in The Pickering Cellar, at 12.30pm, on Thursday 6th November. For your chance to win, email your answer to the question below to competitions@bbr.com before 5pm on 15 July. T&Cs apply.

When the Purcari Estate was founded in 1827, Moldova was known by another name. What was it?
